Lack of Focus Could Cost You Millions
It’s so easy to let your mind get preoccupied and lose track of your goals and dreams. The world is full of distractions; more so than ever before, and they are all at our fingertips. Our smartphones are with us 24/7 and provide easy, unlimited access to social media, networking, computer games, television, music, etc. Even if you don’t give in to electronic distractions, there are life distractions: your spouse, your kids, your job, household chores, errands… How do you stay focused on success?
First of all, no one can remain focused on one thing all day every day. That would be impossible, especially in this poly-demanding world we’ve created for ourselves. However, you can focus on success by adopting a successful mindset. Here are some ideas on keeping focused on success.
Keep a Log
All highly-successful people journal. It’s part of their individual success formulas. Whether you journal first thing in the morning or the last thing at night, that’s just personal choice. The point is you need to journal.
Each day, write about what you did for your business. Note particularly all your successes and things you did toward your goals. Identify the things that didn’t go as well as you’d planned; what could you change or what could you do differently next time?
Identify your small wins and be honest about your challenges. Set your goals and identify the steps necessary to keep you on track. When you log in this way, you will also be able to see areas where you are losing focus and need to step things up a bit.
Write Your Goals
You probably know this, I’m sure you’ve heard it enough times, but writing down your goals is important. Do you have your goals displayed? Post them where you can see them, on the mirror or the refrigerator. Keep them nearby – maybe on an index card in your wallet or as the desktop image on your computer or lock screen on your phone. Put them where you can look at them often and get your mind back on achieving success.
I have created a methodology guaranteed to help you achieve your desired results. It’s called the RSSCO™ Framework. It helps you focus on the results you want and the steps necessary to get you there. You can get the RSSCO™ Framework absolutely FREE by clicking HERE.
Visualize
Visualizing takes the concept of the daydream and kicks it up several notches. Taking time every day to visualize your success can help you achieve your goals more quickly. Schedule a few quiet minutes each day and envision yourself succeeding. Be specific. If this is about your business, imagine yourself exceeding your sales targets, meeting new clients, delivering world-class customer service, etc.
If this is about personal success, imagine the details of a successful relationship, a harmonious family, or a different lifestyle. See it in your mind as if it is real; as if you’re watching it happen. Think in vivid colors, sights, sounds, tastes, smells, etc.
Don’t Be Hesitant
When you start thinking about achieving your goal, do you also visualize a “Plan B”? Experts say that it can hamper your success if you keep thinking you need a backup plan “just in case.” What you’re doing is planting the seed of failure rather than focusing on success.
It’s better to just to go for it. 100 percent. No looking back. Otherwise, you may jump to your backup plan at the first sign of trouble. Success takes effort and courage.
Find your courage, visualize your success, and make it happen.
